I have an awesome cool new toy I found at the camera shop, the first one I have found in Michigan. It is in Grand River. T
he thing is called olloclip and is basically a series of tiny lenses crafted specifically for the iPhone. Since the iPhone is always around me and I like to experiment with that, it is a wonderful addition to my life! Gabriella and I went to the walking place after school on Monday since Jesse has been busy and while she played I played around with my toy. This shot was taken in a window. Friend Colin said it looked like a space foetus. So I said, well then that's its title!

Michigan Spring Panorama

I stole one of these images and created the other in R, though with basically stolen code (i was working through examples.) The more I get into data visualization, the more I reflect on the places of intersection between them. The similarity in tone and shape between these two in particular - or maybe this painting postcard, which hangs in my office - and any map - made me want to create a little mash-up. So I did. And my usual "brand" name...
