Some photographers I like

Since this blog is mostly a reference for me and outlet to look at some of my photos in a particular context, I thought I would start using it a bit more intentionally. Here are some photographers his work I found recently and really like.

1.) http://lumilyon.wordpress.com/ - Nettie Edwards. Does a lot of work with the iPhone but using alternative photographic processes. Totally awesome! Found her in an issue of Black and White Photography (No. 158).

2.) http://carawestonphotography.com/index.php -I like the photography here but more than anything actually like the website itself.

3.) http://www.jennyellerbe.com/PortfolioIndex.html - black-and-white photography again. She has some interesting stuff, an interesting mixture of landscapes and some more abstract studies though probably not as abstract as I would take things.

4.) http://www.alisonturnerphoto.com/#!/index - Alison Turner website. The iPhone on the road pictures are pretty amazing. there is a piece called reflected identities that was highlighted in the last issue of Black and White Photography (No. 158), but I can't seem to find it online. It definitely was what inspired me to try using the Hipstamatic app on the iPhone. now that I have to give them myself, perhaps I will just use my own photos as the inspiration for continuing... as well as my new iPhone lens toys :)
